Gunnar Klish

Head of Research

Gunnar Klish joined John Stewart and Associates in February of 2014 and opened the Chicago branch office. Gunnar has been involved in the agricultural industry for over 30 years. Early in his career he was employed at the Quaker Oats Company. In 1986, he began working at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).   Gunnar has fulfilled a variety of roles in the commodity industry. His experience ranges from filling paper in cash butter trades at CME Dairy Call session to taking trips to South America to better identify and quantify the threat of Asian soybean rust. Over the years, he has focused his risk management skills in assisting U.S. grain elevators, seed companies, cattle feed yards, the dairy industry and large speculators. He also has worked with soybean processors in both the U.S. and South American.

Gunnar gained most of his agricultural experience at Iowa Grain Company from 1990 to 2008. There he held various positions at both the CBOT and CME. While at Iowa Grain Company, he headed their research department and served as a principal and Vice President of E-Hedger. Through Iowa Grain Company, and later at ADMIS, he began his relationship with John Stewart and Associates serving as their representative on the trading floor. Gunnar Klish is a registered Associated Person of John Stewart and Associates and Head of Research.
