Tom Tucker
Chairman
Tom Tucker is the Chairman of JSA and works out of the San Antonio office, which he opened in 1989. He holds a B.S. degree in finance and economics and a master’s degree in international management.
Tom began his career with Continental Grain Company, initially buying truck grain in Illinois and then trading rail and barge grain in the St. Louis office. He moved on to New York City to trade export corn and soybean meal, working with offices in South America, Europe and Asia. Tom then moved Continental’s barge meal operation from New York to St. Louis, becoming assistant vice president in charge of soybeans and soybean products.
He left Continental to become an FOB bean broker with clients in the U.S., South America and Europe. Tom then became a PIK certificate broker at the request of some of his commercial accounts and it was during this period that he developed his business relationship with John Stewart.
Tom Tucker is a registered Associated Person of John Stewart and Associates and a principal in the company.
