Tom Tucker is the president of JS&A and is located in the San Antonio, Texas office, which he opened in 1989. He holds a B.S. degree in Finance and Economics and a Master's degree in International Management.
Mr. Tucker began his grain career in 1976 with Continental Grain Co. His initial assignment was buying truck grain in Illinois. From 1977-1979 he traded rail and barge grain in Continental's St. Louis office. From 1980-1981 he was in New York City trading export corn and meal, working with offices in South America, Europe and the Far East. In late 1981, Mr. Tucker moved Continental's barge meal operation from New York to St. Louis, becoming Assistant Vice President in charge of soy beans and soy bean meal commodities.
In late 1983 Mr. Tucker left Continental to become a FOB bean broker with customers in the U.S., South America and Europe. In late 1986 Mr. Tucker became a PIK certificate broker on the request and recommendation of several of his commercial accounts and it was during this period that his business relationship developed with John Stewart.
Mr. Tucker is a registered Associated Person of John Stewart & Associates and principal in the company.
