John Stewart founded the company in 1976 and is associated with John Stewart and Associates today as both head of research and a trade advisor. He formerly served as Chairman of the Research Committee of the National Grain and Feed Association.
From 1972 to 1976, Mr. Stewart was a futures broker specializing in commercial grain hedging for Clayton Brokerage of St. Louis, Inc.
From 1963-1972, Mr. Stewart worked for Garnac Grain Co., Inc., in New York City. For the period 1965-1972, he was the grain merchandiser responsible for originating grain from the U.S. and Canadian Great Lakes and the U.S. Atlantic coast for shipment to Europe, the U.K., the Middle East and Japan. This job required use of the futures market to hedge the price risk involved in buying and selling this grain.
Mr. Stewart is a licensed Commodity Trade Advisor and registered Associated Person with John Stewart and Associates.
